World Anti-Child Labour Day

Every year, RLHP observes World Anti-Child Labour Day by organising health camps and events with fun games that include the participation of street, child, child labourers, college students and volunteers. Street children participate in and enjoy drawing, painting, games, etc., and provide them health and hygiene orientation with the distribution of basic kits containing basic essentials like soap, comb, towel, toothpaste and brush.

International Child Helpline Day

RLHP believes in using as many accessible channels as possible to communicate and procure help for distressed children. Every year, the International Child Helpline Day is observed to highlight its significance and the impact it brings to so many needy children across the world. Participation is encouraged with dignitaries from allies, the Department of Police, Child Welfare Committee, etc., and crucial players are brought onboard into making timely rescue and provision of immediate help possible.

Children’s Day

A day of pride for the innumerable children in the home shelters, Children’s Day is celebrated every year with the distribution of small gifts and followed by fun games and a lot of laughter.

True to the spirit of women empowerment, RLHP observes International Women’s Day and conducts activities and awareness campaigns on equal opportunities for women and their contribution to different arenas of society.

State Level Seminar on the Importance of SDP and SDMC

As a part of the capacity building programmes, RLHP organized a state level seminar in the month of February 2020 at Bangalore on the “importance of SDP and SDMCs with an intention to enhance other schools and government authorities to replicate the SDMC and PTM model in other government schools across the state.
